The insides are just yuck.
Slimy, nasty, smelly and just down right gross.
Okay I’ll admit it. I had fun.
And the kids had fun and isn’t that all that matters?
I mean just look at that face!
I mean couldn’t you just eat them up!
Adorable! Am I right?
It was a fun night for all. Except the pumpkins of course.
Especially the pumpkin I made for the salsa dip for the food table.
Poor thing. He had it rough.
But it was hit.
As were the white chocolate ghost truffles.
Super easy to make too.
Just crush up a bag of Oreos (I know…bad Sandy!) and mix them with 8 oz cream cheese.
Stir to you get a ball of dough.
Then just take a spoonful and mold it into a cone shape (or ghost…whatever).
Set them on a tray and put them in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
Next you’ll melt about 12 oz (one bag) of white chocolate.
Hold your ghosts upside down and dip them into the chocolate.
You may need a spoon to spread some of the chocolate.
Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes just long enough for the chocolate to start to harden.
Grab a toothpick and make you ghosts faces. Make sure to go through the chocolate so it looks like hollow eyes.
So easy. No bake and what’s not to love about that.
And spooky. Every time I opened the freezer I felt I was being stared at.
And one of my chocolate dipped Oreos wouldn’t stop staring at me either.
That one was really creepy.
Like an alien or something.
