Do you see that?
Why oh why do makers of these products do these things to us?
It drives me crazy and I really don’t have time to sit around and peel sticky stuff off of containers.
So what’s a busy girl to do?
A busy girl just prints out some pictures, cuts them out to size, grabs the mod podge and covers it up.
So first slather on some mod podge onto your container.
And onto the back of your cut out picture.
Turn your picture over and place it onto your container.
Slide it around until you have it where you want it and smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
I waited for mine to slightly dry a little bit and then took a sanding block and rubbed along the edges to give it a worn look.
Then take your mod podge and with a foam brush go over your picture.
I went over it three times and then sprayed it with a mod podge sealer. This will prevent it from being sticky.
On the other three I wanted them to stay together so I put some hot glue on the sides and stuck them together before mod podging my picture on it.
After they were all dry, I put them in my kitchen.
There now…that looks much better.
This quick little update took less than 30 minutes and I didn’t have to ruin my fingernails scraping off the sticky stuff.
Not to mention this looks way better than just leaving the bare.
So take that makers of bamboo utensil holders.

Love the finished product! Will definitely have to try this. There’s also a product called Goo Gone that will remove sticky things from just about anything. Off to get some Mod Podge! 🙂
