Time Out

Couldn’t we all use a time out every now and then?

I know I could and it wouldn’t even hurt my feelings.

Nope. Not one bit.

However, I’m not three years old either.

Nor are my children three years old.

Time out wouldn’t work too well with them.

Boy that would be funny.

They would be furious with me.

So when I found this adorable little chair at a thrift store for some reason I just couldn’t pass it up.

I mean it was only 3 bucks so how could I resist.

And then the craziest thing happened.

My MIL got custody of niece.

And she’s THREE!

It was then that I knew exactly why it was meant for me to buy this chair.

So I brought it home, cleaned it up and broke out the paint.

I spray painted it with Krylon in their adorable watermelon color.

While my chair was drying, I found some cute graphics online and printed them out.

Once dry, I cut my graphics out and placed them on the chair to get the position just right.

I used the chalk transfer method because my handwriting and drawing skills suck.

You can learn how to do this here.

Next I used different color paint pens and went over the chalk.

She’s not real sure how she feels about it right now.

But I would definitely sit in it if someone gave me a time out.

It turned out really cute and matches her new bedroom perfectly.

I wanted to get a picture of her sitting in it but like I said…

she’s not real sure about it yet.

Hopefully she won’t give us any reason to put her in time out.

I doubt it though.

After all…she is a girl.
