I’ve been trying to stay busy.
Just messing around painting little things until the weather warms up and I can get outside.
I have so much to do.
Anyway…until then I’ll just continue to pick things out of the garbage that the hubs throws away.
Like this bamboo tray.
Found in the trash.
Can you believe it?
What a dummy.
Ok so it’s a little messed up but hey…it’s intact.
That’s nothing that a couple of coats of paint can’t fix.
Am I right?
It took two coats to cover it and I totally forgot to take a picture.
My bad.
But a plain white tray just won’t cut it in my house.
I saw this image over on The Graphics Fairy and I was totally dying to put it on something.
So I did.
You know me…I used the chalk transfer method to add the image.
After it was dry, I lightly sanded over the entire thing to give it a distressed look.
Here’s a closer look at the pig.
The tray looks so much better now.
And it fits perfect in the chair in the corner that holds vintage pictures of my husband’s mother and father.
So next time you see something laying in the trash don’t hesitate to pull it out of there.
And then slap your husband.
Because what does he know anyway?
Paint.
It’s a wonderful thing.

Ha Ha! My hubby has no imagination whatsoever when it comes to what he sees as trash either. Everything is a canvas for our paintbrushes right? Love what you did with the tray! Thank you for sharing it at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Blessings, Deborah
Thanks! I’m off to go dig in the burn pile! Hubs tossed scrap wood! Gasp!!!!
That is so funny. I use the same Graphics Fairy graphic on signs that I do. They’ve sold well. 🙂 here at https://www.facebook.com/TheHouseattheEndoftheRoad
I love it! IMO white paint fixes anything.
Thanks!
