Ever have one of those Ah-ha moments when thrifting? Ever see something that you knew you just had to have? Like for instance a baby changing table for just $10.00. But what if your babies are not babies anymore and what if you have no intentions of having anymore babies? Well…you turn to Pinterest that’s what. While browsing one day I saw this:
Isn’t it beautiful? And since I do love wine…I knew I had to do this. So out came all my supplies right in the middle of the garage.
Supplies:
Baby changing table
White spray paint
Primer
Sandpaper
Polycrylic
Stencils
Black acrylic paint
I started by giving it a good scrubbing then priming it with Kiltz spray primer.
Next I gave it a light sanding then gave it 2 coats of Krylon Bright White spray paint. I like this spray paint because of the nozzle spray thingy. It’s soft and easy to push. It doesn’t hurt my finger either which is a huge plus. When I was done spraying it I added the “BAR” on the bottom shelf with a light blue acrylic paint and also added the words “In vino veritas – In wine there is truth”. I love this saying. So true. Very very true.
Once dry I applied 3 coats of Polycrylic, let it dry and then drug it in the house. I still need to add the wheels but for now it works and looks perfect in my dining room.
Such an easy little project that was a lot of fun. Now go thrifting, buy something old and give it a makeover! And have fun doing it! Cheers!
How did you attach the hanging wine glass rack?
I attached with small screws.
